Heheh, ColdRain. You're invited to Leiden.See the thread in the Leiden forum http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/forum_thread.php?id=197
I went there many years ago. Quite a nice city, but you'd better wait for spring when you can sit at a terrace near the waterside.
So he does visit our forum, maybe he can make some publicity on his webpage like he did for DPC![]()
Me thinks he didn't appreciate the "lazy admin" remark![]()
Let's hope the credit issues get fixed quickly so we go back to what we are good at. Grilling cows and chewing bubblegum and we're all outa gum![]()
I realized way too late (when DPC quoted something on their forum) this thread was public, I thought it was in our private forum.
In fact, I'm pretty sure m Somers doesn't read our forum on a regular basis. His interest lies with DPC, hence the publicity on the frontpage and his support posts on their forum (which I haven't seen here ... yet). So it's obvious someone from DPC "kindly" pointed him this way.
Of course, Mark Somers is allways welcome to visit BOINC.BE in Belgium to give a little talk on how he thinks a project involving a large community of volunteers is to be approached. He will even get a free-of-charge heads-up evaluation from someone with over 20 years experience in real-life project management.

My post in the Leiden forum, as a reaction to the project leader's sneer to ColdRain. Sorry, ColdRain, I know you're a big boy and you don't need me to defend you. But I couldn't let this one pass. If the project administrator chooses to follow my advice and removes the posts as I suggested, then I will also remove this post here.

Especially for some BOINC.BE people...
See the new http://boinc.gorlaeus.net the app has been updated...
It has now also been compiled to be as strict as possible to the IEEE 387 standards as the GNU and the MS-VC++ 5.00 compilers allow it to be, despite the fact that this comes with a performance penalty... Tests will show if this 'strictness' does indeed help with validating...
Tomorrow I'll be giving classes until the end of the week (yes I also do teaching at the uni here too)... After that the lost credit issue will be taken care of... So just be patient if you will... However, If you think things don't get done fast enough... I suggest you start off with studying the application source code http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/download/D...assical.tar.gz and help if you can...
m.
