    Talking Post your computer's desktop

..desktop as in the virtual one with icons and a wallpaper etc

I prefer keeping my desktop clean as possible, especially with the new wallpaper I have. The new wallpaper I got today is 2 drawings an artist did - I simply re-sized them and slapped them into one image for my desktop.

    1MB IMAGE: http://img486.imageshack.us/my.php?image=desktopol4.jpg

Little story on the wallpaper coming up, skip if you wish (it'll explain what the images are about though ).

    Start with the right image:

The right image has a 17-year old lad called Gian. The puppy he's holding is his little brother (called Colin), who is infact a werewolf (hence the full moon). Gian is a vampire. According to the artist, Gian is singing a lullaby to his brother in this image.

    Left image:

The left image we have 2 people. The person on the right you can probably spot easily (it's Gian), and on the right is his father, Francesco - he's also a vampire.

Yeah, I have something for vampires if you hadn't already noticed, and Gian is a character I really like (the artist even knows this, she said she was happy that I'm interested in her character - so she gave me a little bit of bio info about Gian and his father ).

Great artwork, R+. I like the anecdotes about the vampires and the werewolf. Sometimes I wonder if I don't have a puppy werewolf in the house myself

@Emily: Now you've said it, missy. Make sure tonight all your windows are closed, and doors are bolted. Or else... prepare to face the Hounds of Hell

On a lighter note Here is my desktop at home: http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...bescreen-1.jpg

I knooow. Just a Windows stock background. But one that matches perfectly my upcoming holiday mood. Just like Rhizome, I like a desktop without much clutter. There's even double as many icons on it than I usually have. On the task bar:
    * Ubuntu 6.10: That's the virtual machine running the Belgian Beer website and project.
    * Rhizome: /me chatting with Rhizome

Oh, if the letters seem large compared to the screen: I use the large fonts setting on all my displays.

The Hounds of Hell will be howling at your door too tonight

It all starts when you get a 300 Euro monthly phone bill. Then you quickly find alternatives for talking to people in other countries

Now let's see your messy screens

lol... I do, but it's to much work to make/find one and I need one that suits my resolution

For the VM's I don't need them.. I think I only see the desktop 1% of the time I work on them.
