I will not install Vista. It takes too many system resources

I ordered a Vista home basic with my new system, I'll see what it gives. If I don't like it, XP is back in tha house(I rather install 2003 but then FFXI fails to work cause of some directX problem...)
I won't have aero them hing but I was never a fan of those themes and the like.

looks niceBut I'm not pleased with all the publicity there was about Vista, even on the television news!
Today I was thinking, why won't they learn linux at school ? The only thing we use is office aplications, some javascript programming and a bit webbrowsing. that's it.
Openoffice exists for windows and linux (so if they want to learn at home, they can install that one) and for programming.. just a small text editor.

Linux isn't click-click-click and you got a working system. It has improved alot tho. But it ain't there yet.
Openoffice isn't as "nice" as ms office is. ms office is one step ahead (and thats my personal experience) Another thing: OOo its not 100% compatible with ms office (wich is still the most used one).
They don't learn linux at school cause the teachers aren't qualified. They barely know windows....
