And there is one positive side to the long waiting for credits.
You still get credits up to several days (or some weeks) after you have switched to another project![]()

Yeah, I noticedI was already wandering why some projects are keeping up in the stats though they weren't crunching at the time. That means that holidays are not that bad for your stats, credits keep coming in when you are away aswell.
Something else: I have been playing with some numbers to try to find out what projects give the best results with my PC's. I did the calculations manually as I did not find any site that provides this feature ? Results are for one WU and one minute. I only checked projects that I crunch, i am sure that there are even better results with other projects out there ?
cosmology: 0,6 credits/minute/WU
milkyway: 0,5 credits/minute/WU
cells: 0,34 credits/minute/WU
AIS: 0,26 credits/minute/WU
POEM: 0,25 credits/minute/WU
orbit: 0,1 credits/minute/WU
Seems like milyway and cosmology are the best projects for me. How do you guys check what projects give the best results on your PC's ?

Mostly we don't compare projects with each other.
But for a certain project the difference between Windows (32b) , Windows (64b) and of course Linux (mostly Ubuntu).
Some projects act even strange with WMware and give better credits under VMware then a installed Linux. (happens certainly not often).
On some projects there is even a big difference between an Intel CPU and a AMD.
Some projects are optimized for the Intel Core2 CPU and those give bad credits on an AMD. There are also several projects optimized for a 64-bit OS (Windows or Linux) and those give some better credits for 64-bit OS.

To get the most of your AMD processor, you really should run a 64-bit operating system and a project that has 64-bit clients. Many of us run 64-bit Linux in a virtual machine. It's not as difficult as you might think. How much memory does your machine have?
It's hard to say what's the best project for AMD since I have only 1 left.
All my other systems are Intel (Q6600 , E6400 and E4300).
