There is also World Community Grid, that starts with a Linux BOINC client (the windows client is non-BOINC for the moment).

World Community Grid's 'human genome' Boinc client is now also available for Windows. I am currently crunching my first Windows WU. It looks like it will take 5 times longer than the Linux client.
We do have a boinc.be team in WCG, but it is kind of low profile for nowI'd rather see that Belgians already active in WCG join us and also become active in other Boinc projects.
WCG has added a new client to its platform. Besides the existing Human Proteome Folding project there is now also a Fight Aids at Home (FAAH) client. The client is also available for Boinc. If you have an existing WCG Boinc account, then the FAAH client and work units will probably be sent to you automatically. If not, go to your WCG account, go to 'My Projects' and choose 'Participate in All Projects' or enable the FightAIDS@Home project.
I have downloaded a few WU, just to see what it does (you didn't expect anything else of me, did you?) They are running now. No pretty screensaver to look at
It looks like the WU will take some 6 hours to finish. After these 2 are finished I resume my other projects.
The FAAH Boinc client is available for Windows. Not sure about Linux, I think it is not there yet.
WCG has added another project to its list from which to choose: 'Help Defeat Cancer'. Meanwhile the human proteome project has entered its second phase.
WCG has some really useful projects, all related to medical and health research. It's not often talked about in our forum, I think unrightly so. We have some really bigtime WCG crunchers in our team. Check out http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/te...mId=MFN98JHPP1
I just created an account yesterday.
After I finish a few personal milestones I'm thinking of throwing in some CPU time.
Especially because it tries to look for solutions for serious deseases
Even bumpen dit topic, WCG is zeker de moeite wat pc's voor te laten draaien !
