New Update:

Still no new WU's and no idea of when they will come, only 940 need to be finished. Hopefully new work comes quickly.
The project admins are busy with other things since there is already a thread in the forum asking where they are

The good news however is that in RAC BOINC.BE has reached the 4th place. Mainly because everyone is running out of work I presume. Maybe our cache was a little bigger then that of our competitors

Hi,

the 11.000 test WUs are (almost) computed. We'll meet this evening to discuss if we can release the new SIMAP client within the next days. If yes, we'll publish the next WUs after the next client release. This should solve a couple of issues, like the sometimes very large results and the problems under Linux.

So please expect the next project news tomorrow morning.

Good news on the Simap Front:

New workunits coming: Best wishes and a happy new year for all participants. The calculation of the 11,000 first workunits is almost finished now; their results are currently imported into the SIMAP database. Thanks a lot for your effort in this first stage of our project and for the many helpful forum-discussions. A major problem were some unexpected large results. Analyzing the 11,000 first workunits and discussing this problem we have decided to modify the workunit generation process in order to estimate the expected result size. Based on this estimation, the workunits will be smaller in cases if many results are expected. Hopefully this solution will solve the problem and huge result will not occur again. The new workunit generator is beeing implemented now, so please expect new workunits until sunday. Thank you for your patience.

Simap is back online since today

Simap had new work, On the site there were 9 new WU, I claimed 8 of them , sorry for taking them all but good for boinc.be I hope that there will be more Wu available in short time

I pushed my boinc manager to take more WU, I've taken 17 WU on 2 Computers and now he says "no work from project" So i think hé's out of WU again

There are 20000 new workunits but they are being sent out gradually.
There is also a new Simap client and I think they are afraid of problems so they do not want to sent them out all at once.

New Update:

The new WU's and new clients are running fine. They have a increased the speed 10x which means a WU on Pentium M 2.0 takes about 30 minutes, on the Xeon 2.8 about 4 WU's every 45 minutes are being pressed out.

If you want in on those 20k token you better hurry up

Problems with Linux do not seem to have been completely solved, some users are still having problems with segmentation faults.

I have switched to Simap again full time, in case general Tutta would need help in the ufluids project just send our trusty DHL-pigeon to let me know
