Version 0.4.3 released

DIMES Agent Version 0.4.3 is ready for public testing trough auto update.
We are happy to announce that a new agent version is ready for public test. version 0.4.3 contains some important bug fixes , as well as our new Agent Control Center.

Here is a list of the new features and fixes:

ICMP traceroutes bug causing the agent to shutdown fixed.
Automatic , non interactive auto update option - for those of you who wish to make automatic update without a message box from the agent
Dimes Agent Control center support - gain control over all your agents over the web.
Accumulating (however small) memory leak bugfix.
multiple network interfaces support.

hey ik heb 0.4.2 ge-installed, maar ik ken dat programma niet, dus wou ik vragen of ge mij eens kunt zeggen hoe ik dat best configureer.

Welcome the Dimes club, MeanMachine. These are a few threads that you may want to read. The second one is about 0.3.9.7, so just read the first post or so. The mentioned bugs should be solved

Something for all Dimes users: There is now a Control Panel on the Dimes website. There you can set options for all your machines at the same time. Next time they make contact, these options will be used. It is also possible to let Dimes automatically upgrade itself to 0.4.3 or higher this way.

merci voor de links. Maar heb nu toch nog een probleempje. Mijn router blokkeert blijkbaar zowel UDP als ICMP.

Sure it's the router, and not the firewall? ZoneAlarm sometimes gives problems. At work our router blocks me as well on UDP. ICMP is fine. Can you see any nodes in the graph window after some time, or only the 1 cactus node in the middle?

All UDP, or ICMP as well? As I said, in my case ICMP did get past the router at work. If you really can't get it working, I suggest an email to the Dimes support team, describing your infrastructure. They are normally very responsive. If they're not on holiday My contact persons used to be ohad at eng.tau.ac.il and shire at eng.tau.ac.il

Doesn't really mean you're firewall or router is blocking. It could be that the firewall or router on the other end is blocking (most likely even)
Anyhow, check you're stats tomorrow, and see if any work was done... if it shows you have "Number of measurement units" then all is working fine

ok, after 2 or 3 days (+/- 25.000 measurement units) I still haven't found a single AS. But I believe the problem is that my dimes agent isn't using ICMP. I've set my prefs to ICMP but it is still using UDP only. Perhaps in an updated version this will be fixed. thx for trying to help anyways

AS are very difficult to find at this stage of the tracing since most have already been found.
I don't think this has much to do with ICMP and UDP.
You will see most new members with very low numbers of AS found while the older members have found much more.
